Mazza | Salt Lake City Media & Tasting Event
Mazza has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Salt Lake City. The food and atmosphere are outstanding and the people are sincerely wonderful. Last week, I was lucky enough to attend a media tasting at Mazza which showcased some of their famous dishes, as well as introduced us to what they may have up and coming. From Jeweled Rice and Chicken to Raw Lamb Kibbeh, the menu was diverse, interesting, and delicious.
Here are some of my favorite dishes to look out for for next time you take a trip to this amazing Middle Eastern Restaurant.
Mahashi, Stuffed Zucchinis and Eggplants – delicious!
Garlicky Labneh Dip – a staple I order with each visit.
Roasted Quails – this was my favorite dish of the night.
Roasted Cauliflowers with Tahineh Dressing
Fish Tajen
Some of the more interesting menu items were the Raw Lamb Kibbeh (a lamb pate´of sorts), Beef Tongue “En Persillade”, and Fried Chicken Livers. Yes, I tried them all. The flavor of the Beef Tongue was wonderful, but I can’t really get past the whole tongue thing. However, that dish was a huge hit at our table. Also, the Chicken Livers had great flavor as well. I branched out people, I was proud of myself.
