It’s true. I might have a new favorite coffee shop.
It’s true. I might love artisan toast more than anything.
Publik. Coffee Roasters recently opened its doors in Salt Lake City. And I’ll be honest – it’s cool. It is hidden a little off the beaten path off of 900 South and West Temple, just waiting for you to find it and enjoy some rich, flavorful coffee and the best toast of your life.
Publik. sort of reminds me of a very modern Salt Lake Roasting Company (two stories with great seating and people watching). Salt Lake Roasting Co. was my go-to coffee shop and writing place for many years. But sometimes, you just ache for something new; something new for inspiration and something new to eat. :) Most coffee shops offer the regular run-of-the-mill pastries, bagels, biscotti, and the like. But Publik. offers TOAST. Huge, thick, delicious toast, topped with an array of wonderful items (cinnamon & sugar, heirloom tomato & goat cheese, pear lavender & blue cheese, just to name a few).
On our first trip, I went with the avocado toast – because, it’s avocado (with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper!). I also ordered an Americano and Russ, a latte. Basic, right? But awesome, friends. My coffee was rich and wonderful and the latte was also tasty. The coffee is high-quality and just look at this toast? I mean, it is worthy of several photos; it is basically a work of art. And, it tasted as good as it looks.
Publik. also gives out a very cool vibe where you can work, write, catch up on your latest technology (with plenty of plug-in space) or have a work meeting. Publik. has several meeting rooms, which you can reserve for a great getaway from the office. I know that United Way of Salt Lake has already used some of this space, which was a great way to get employees out of the office. Publik. also has a huge open space, which would be amazing for a variety of events. Publik. really does offer a space that is interesting and inviting.
Guys, I like this place!
Make sure to check them out for yourself!
