Residual Sugars

when i touch you i become
hands crossing over glass ivy,
like rotting artifacts, they crumble.
we wait for our particles
to be carried away by -birdwings-
circling forever until the
cold curves itself over the sky.
then, this spanning blue mouth
becomes a necklace of black
words that clog your throat
like wet grapes.
