His eyebrows hang like

loose clothes on a hook.

Laughing through dollars.

Hollering through champagne.

Satin envelops her. Strapless.

Her body is a long string of light.

Her eyes, a beam of glossy steel.

Making jokes about

unfortunate circumstances-

to show appreciation.

They peck before you have died.

They can tell no difference.

More bones than skin.

More hands than mouths.

An ocean of black,

steals from death.
