Rape of the Promised

Insipid movement,
you bend with
fear…
Mute, sullen,
you fight. Fire,
like dreams, engulf
the age old tale of
forgiveness, of
redemption. Falling at
the feet of the crucifix,
rape of the earth,
inviting.
The silhouetted feet,
holes,
now scares,
encapsulate the
degree of colorless blue,
as the architecture
of skylight
moves forward on command.
The pink vacancy of desire,
like pully moon,
soothes as it crawls
out from under you.
You promised
them poems,
promised.
Shame, excuse
for monotony, drips
drips–
from dry cracks
of your argument.
And you say inside,
if you can’t read it,
read it again.
