weekends never last long enough. cliche’, but true.
i think i am having a few moments/hours/days of…’things are going really well. life is good’.
i don’t want to be waiting for the other shoe to drop. whatever THAT cliche’ means.
the party was a success. i love it when there are just enough people there–not too many and not too few. people stuck around but didn’t stay too late. the dance mix was danced to and the live tunes were a great addition for atmosphere and such. i thought it was sweet of randy to offer and the kiddo he played with was darling. he was only 15, so his mom came to the party as well…you know, just to make sure things weren’t crazy and no one was snorting cocaine off the toilet seat or getting it on in the bedroom. i can confidently say, none of that took place. it was nice to have everyone over. now, i feel like the new place has been nice and welcomed.
i headed out to sandy for some nice family time on sunday, and it was pretty good. i hadn’t seen my parents in a while, so it was nice to catch up. my sister is heading to new zealand here in a few weeks, and i am trying not to have a freak out about it. it has been super nice to have her here. i am selfish. and, i don’t care.
my chair at work has recently started squeaking. i am not a fan of it at all.
it is raining. pouring, in fact. i would like to actually go home and get some good sleep–but I have class. so, not soon enough.
here are some pics from the party:
