dear baltimore,

you were pretty cool, but you did not inspire a poem.  this is a bit strange seeing that the last 10 times (ish) i have traveled anywhere, i have gotten at least one pretty decent poem out of the experience.

even work travel.

even going to an amazing edgar allen poe tavern.

not one poem.  sigh.

baltimore was a whirlwind of conferencing and partying.  it was a great time–but the overall experience exhausted me a bit more than i was prepared for.  AND, upon entering the homeland i was immediately struck down with a horrid cold.  all this warm weather blanketed with cold weather topped with stupid snow, plus plane travel, had me blowing my nose far too often.

people don’t even say ‘bless you’ anymore.  i don’t blame them.

but then there was the weekend.  finally had some down time with the boy, watched some dexter, got some more tattoo work done on my 3/4 sleeve, attended a fabulous wedding, and got some good dog cuddling in.  oh, and the boyfriend made some chili yesterday that blew my noshing mind.  delish!

i am really enjoying the fall weather–i am not ready for snow yet.  the leaves have barely started changing–and i need more boot/hoodie weather before i hold up in our house for 3 months.  ug.  ok ok, i am going to try to NOT hold up in the house.

it might be time to get crafty.

i think some salt scrubs or homemade tea might be fun.
