Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn – A Short Book Review

Gone GirlGone Girl by Gillian Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a fantastic summer read. Once you start, it is hard to stop. The first half of the book is written beautifully with a slew of poetic language. Once the book takes its crazy turn in the second half, however, the descriptive language slows down to sort of showcase the craziness of the story. The twists and turns are totally unpredictable–but as the end of the book draws to a close, much of the story line seems quite unrealistic. But hey, isn’t that why we read? πŸ™‚ In the end, you will feel everything from disgust to that sort of throw your hands up in the air and shake it off feeling, to a morbid overarching feeling of humor. I highly recommend.
