I love to travel. I hate to fly.
That being said, other than a bumpy return flight, everything about our Milwaukee trip was wonderful. Celebrating our engagement with Russ’s family and friends was so much fun and it was wonderful to spend more time in his neck of the woods. We have our little life here, and it is so perfect – but it is so interesting to see all of these places and people where he is from and get a totally new perspective on this man of mine. Everything about that trip reaffirmed to me that both of us are in the exact right place, with the exact right person. I love being able to see how every move we both made in the past several years led us right to each other. It was also super fun to hang with some of our great friends who I wish we saw more. Funny to feel like a part of myself feels like I have a little bit of home in a city I’ve never lived in.
I spent this past week/end in DC and after that, I am happy to NOT getting on a plane for a while. I swear, my flight anxiety gets worse the older I get. I need a Xanax. Who can get me Xanax? 😉
