One of my favorite things in life is a good pairing of wine/cocktails/beer/spirits with delicious food. And, that is just what Bambara and Sugar House Distillery offered up on the first Sip and Savor Soireé last week! Bambara’s Executive Chef, Nathan Powers, created plates specifically to bring out the notes and flavors of Sugar House Distillery’s Vodka, Gold Rum, Whisky, and Silver Rum. Some bites paired with cocktails and others with the spirit, straight up. Either way, both the food and the beverages were elevated by the other. You can get Sugar House Vodka in most Utah liquor stores, but make sure to take a tour of their distillery and get some GOLD RUM! That stuff is liquid love. It is truly a step above any rum you might currently be drinking. In fact, forget what you know about rum and just start all over with Sugar House Distillery’s Gold Rum, you won’t be disappointed.
