It took me a minute to actually get to Publik Kitchen to check it out, but all I had heard was wonderful things about the food, vibe, and of course the coffee. When Katie from Panic Button Media asked me to pull a group of foodie babes together to check it it out for the first time, I was more than thrilled.
We ate. We caffeinated. We were happy.

I want to share with you just a few of the dishes we sampled. I was incredibly happy with my BLT, complete with a friend egg and avocado. Incredibly fresh ingredients and a little love made this sandwich one to remember. So so so good. And, the cortado was divine, as always.
What I really loved about the food, and the BLT in particular, was that although it was a considerably HUGE sandwich, of which I ATE EVERY BITE, I didn’t feel heavy or like I overdid it. I think that this speaks to the quality of ingredients that Publik Kitchen is working with. Everything was at its peak season (I mean really, the green is outstandingly beautiful), ready for serving, and so fresh that flavors were nearly jumping into my mouth before the first bite. Also, let’s talk about homemade mayo — because it changes everything. One other component to this BLT that I really loved was the tomato jam in place of tomatoes. I wasn’t sure how I would like this because I am such a tomato lover, but the jam really gave this sammy a nice complexity and a hint of sweetness that was refreshing and light.
Publik Kitchen is always decidedly using local ingredients where they can — the amazing, soft but crunchy bread (yes, THAT perfect combination) comes from Park City’s Red Bicycle Breadworks and you can see the use of Laziz Hummus, Amour Spreads, and Rosehill Dairy in many of their dishes. This makes me love them that much more!
Everyone else at the table really loved their meal, and many of us were visiting Publik Kitchen for the first time. I think we all left feeling satisfied, happy, and comfortable. Also, the service was prompt and friendly — which always helps.
