Cafe Galleria | Murray, UT

If you are driving along 900 East and about 6000 South, you might see a cute little yellow European car, parked on the east side of the road with signs pointing to delicious eats: wood-fired pizza, homemade bagels, etc. This car is alerting you of a cute, quaint, welcoming little restaurant called Cafe Galleria. Cafe Galleria’s original restaurant opened its doors in Midway, Utah in 2008 – and after several successful years, opened its second location in Murray this past April. Cafe Galleria is family-owned and operated, focused on local ingredients (what we all like to hear!), and they even make their own artisan cheeses. However, Cafe Galleria’s main focus, and feature menu item, is their delicious wood-fired pizza.

Our little visit included a wood-fired pizza – Margherita with artichokes and mushrooms! Cafe Galleria lets you add just about anything to a Margherita pizza, which I am sure everyone can appreciate. The Margherita pizza itself starts at $7.95 and additional toppings range from $1 – $2.00; totally reasonable. The pizza was great – perfect crust and fresh ingredients. The sauce was also light and fresh.

We also ordered the Spaghetti and Salad ($7.95) with Two Meatballs ($3.00). The meatballs were really great – perfect consistency and the flavor was delicious. You could certainly tell that the sauce and the meatballs were homemade. Had the pasta been homemade, this dish would have been on my list to re-order, but the spaghetti itself seemed nothing more than what you can buy in the store; a fresh pasta would have made a world of difference. The salad served with the spaghetti was basic, but nice to have ahead of time.

The pizza was definitely the highlight of our experience at Cafe Galleria – and something that they do well. Their pizza is also more reasonably-priced than other traditional wood-fired pizza restaurants, such as Settebello (our usual go-to). If you aren’t in the downtown area, Cafe Galleria offers a tasty, fresh, authentic pizza for a great price. The atmosphere is also darling and the wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Make sure to put this one on your list if you are a pizza fan!

Cafe Galleria also offers a full breakfast on the weekends, as well as a great breakfast/bagel menu in the morning. We will certainly be back to check them out during the early hours. But for now, stick with the pizza, and you won’t be disappointed. Check out their full menu HERE >>!
