Taste of the Wasatch | Help Fight Hunger in Utah!
Did you know that 1 in 6 kids in Utah goes hungry?
In Salt Lake City, 22.2% of households with children have experienced food hardship between 2009 and 2010.
— Food Research and Action Center, August 2011
In Utah, an average of 131,943 children under 18 years of age is food insecure.
— Feeding America Report, May 2009
Working in the nonprofit world, I have seen first-hand how many kids in Utah go hungry each day. But you can help! AND, you can help while enjoying one of the best food and wine events in Utah!
Taste of the Wasatch is one of my favorite events of the year. As Utah’s premiere culinary event, Taste of the Wasatch features food tastings presented by chefs from over 50 top Utah restaurants and resorts, alongside boutique wineries and craft breweries pouring tastes. Some of the restaurants participating are: Log Haven, Deer Valley Resort, Pallet Bistro, Avenues Proper, Trio, Tin Angel Cafe, Meditrina, and Red Iguana. So, not only does your money go to a noble and wonderful cause, you get to taste the amazing flavors that Utah has to offer — and drink wine in the gorgeous backdrop of Solitude Mountain Resort!
