The Foxtrot, OP Rockwell | SLC Sidecar

Salt Lake City Sidecar Logo

Today, I am bringing you a mighty fine, classic inspired cocktail
from a bartender YOU should know: Chris Panarelli OP Rockwell

Chris Panarelli is definitely doing his part to blow the craft cocktail scene up in Utah. He runs the bar program at OP Rockwell in Park City and also works closely with VIDA Tequila to do education and cocktail creation. He is super awesome to chat cocktails with and I was happy he shared one of his favorites with me.

The reason I really love this cocktail is because it truly feels classic (aka: boozy). There is something about a cocktail that is completely made up of spirits and nothing else. Balancing these kinds of cocktails can be tricky, and this one was spot on. Dry and bold, with just a hint of sweet from the Luxardo — this cocktail is one that you could sip on throughout the night. It is also cozy and straight forward and perfect for a night cap. I really like that Chris kept this one simple, but true to classic form, and it is easy to see why this has been a best seller.

So, get up to OP Rockwell and ask Chris to whip you up The Foxtrot.

Everything about OP Rockwell is inviting and I can’t wait to get back up there to check out the new menu that Chris is creating as we speak! Connect with them on social media (links below).

Thanks, Chris, for letting me get in your face with a camera for an evening. 🙂
